Organic and latex mattress comparisons, checked at the source
Affiliate disclosure: This page contains affiliate links. If you buy through a link on this page, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. PlushBeds, the first pick below, publishes a 15 percent affiliate payout on its own partner page, the highest rate among the brands compared here, and that relationship is one reason it is covered in depth on this site. It is not the reason it ranks first: the ranking reasons are given with the pick. Prices and terms were checked on November 5, 2026 and can change.

The comparison

Best organic latex mattresses, compared on the brands' own numbers

Here are five mattresses, all built around certified organic latex, compared on what you can actually verify before you buy: price, home trial, warranty, height, firmness choice and certifications.

Two of these are all latex. Three are hybrids that pair latex with coils. That split is the first decision you'll make. All latex beds feel even and buoyant from edge to edge and they tend to be heavy. Hybrids feel a little more familiar if you're coming from a spring mattress, and the coils help air move through the bed. Neither's better in general. They just suit different sleepers, and the notes under the table say which is which.

How to read this table, and how the figures are checked

Prices are the prices shown on each brand's own website on November 5, 2026. Where a brand's page didn't label a Queen price in a form I could tie to a size and feel, the table uses the verified starting price or range instead of a figure from a review site. My certifications guide explains what each label checks.

PlushBeds warranty: 25 year warranty, with full replacement in years 1 to 10 and prorated coverage in years 11 to 25.

PlushBeds gives a 100 night return trial, and its 365 Night Comfort Guarantee is a separate offer for firmness adjustment.

Down to two? You'll want a head to head guide: PlushBeds vs Avocado, PlushBeds vs Zenhaven, PlushBeds vs Naturepedic EOS or Avocado vs Birch.

In detail

The five mattresses, one by one

Top pick

1. PlushBeds Botanical Bliss, the all organic all latex pick

  • 100 night return trial
  • Separate 365 Night Comfort Guarantee for firmness adjustment
  • 25 year warranty
  • Medium (5.5 of 10) or Medium Firm (8 of 10)
  • Who it is forAnyone who wants all latex and certified organic textiles, and the most latex for the money.
  • Who it is not forSomeone coming from a spring mattress who wants that familiar feel. The hybrids below will suit them better.
  • Worth knowingIt's a heavy all latex build, and there's no coil feel if that's what you're used to.

The Botanical Bliss is the only mattress here that's latex from top to bottom and certified organic in both its latex and its textiles. The build is six layers: a GOTS certified organic cotton cover, GOTS certified organic wool, a GOTS certified organic cotton panel, a natural latex comfort layer, a GOLS certified organic latex comfort layer on the 12 inch model, and a 6 inch GOLS certified organic latex support core. There are no coils and no synthetic foam layers to soften over time.

You choose the height first, then one of two firmness levels. Medium, rated 5.5 out of 10 by the brand, is the one PlushBeds positions for side sleepers. Medium Firm, rated 8 out of 10, is positioned for back and stomach sleepers. And because the layers sit inside a zippered cover, the firmness can be adjusted under the brand's 365 Night Comfort Guarantee instead of returning the whole bed.

The trial is 100 nights for returns, the 365 Night Comfort Guarantee is a separate offer for firmness adjustment, and the warranty is 25 years. On materials, price per inch of certified organic latex and customisation, it's the strongest package here. That's why it leads this guide and has its own full review.

2. Avocado Green Mattress, the certified hybrid with a year to decide

  • 1 year trial, returns after 30 days
  • 25 year limited warranty
  • Firm, Medium or Plush
  • Who it is forBuyers who want the deepest certification list and a full year to decide.
  • Who it is not forAnyone set on an all latex build with no coils.
  • Worth knowingReturns open only after 30 days, and a return carries a $99 fee.

Avocado's argument is certification depth, and it's a strong one. The Green Mattress is certified organic at the finished product level under GOTS, and the brand lists five further standards for the whole mattress, including OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I, EWG Verified, MADE SAFE, GREENGUARD Gold and UL Formaldehyde Free. The latex is GOLS certified organic Dunlop over up to 1,379 individually wrapped coils in seven zones, needle tufted by hand in California.

The Medium feel carries 3 inches of latex at 11 inches high and it's the brand's most popular. Plush carries 5 inches at 13 inches high and is positioned for side sleepers. Firm carries 2 inches at 11.5 inches. The trial is the longest here at a full year, with a $99 return fee, and the warranty runs 25 years with the first 10 non prorated. If a year of deciding matters more to you than an all latex build, this is the one I'd say to beat.

3. Saatva Zenhaven, the flippable one

  • 365 night trial
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Luxury Plush (4 to 5 of 10) or Gentle Firm (7 to 8 of 10)
  • Who it is forSomeone who cannot decide on firmness in advance and wants two feels in one bed.
  • Who it is not forPartners who want two different feels at the same time. The EOS Classic sets each side of the bed separately.
  • Worth knowingReturns carry a $99 processing fee.

Zenhaven solves the firmness gamble by putting two feels in one mattress. Flip it one way for Luxury Plush, rated 4 to 5 out of 10, flip it the other way for Gentle Firm, rated 7 to 8 out of 10. The latex is natural Talalay with a five zone layer and vented airflow channels, over an organic New Zealand wool flame barrier, inside a cover that includes organic cotton. The latex is GOLS certified, and the mattress carries eco-INSTITUT and GREENGUARD Gold listings on the brand's page.

Saatva also delivers differently: free in room delivery, setup and old mattress removal, rather than a box at the door. The trial is 365 nights with a $99 processing fee on returns, and the warranty is lifetime. At 10 inches and all latex, it's the simplest ownership package here if you can't decide on firmness in advance.

4. Birch Natural, the value hybrid from a big maker

  • 365 night trial
  • Limited lifetime warranty
  • One medium firm feel
  • Who it is forBuyers who want the lowest entry price with long terms.
  • Who it is not forA side sleeper who knows they need a soft surface.
  • Worth knowingA shorter certification list than Avocado's, GOLS and GREENGUARD Gold.

Birch is Helix Sleep's natural brand, and the Natural is its straightforward medium firm hybrid: an organic cotton cover, GOLS certified organic latex from Sri Lanka, organic New Zealand wool and individually wrapped steel coils, assembled in Arizona. Certifications listed on Birch's own pages are GOLS and GREENGUARD Gold, a shorter list than Avocado's, and the price range shown on its product page, $1,030 to $1,965 across sizes, is the lowest entry point in this guide.

Terms are strong for the price: a 365 night trial, with a $99 removal fee on returns, and a limited lifetime warranty. There's only one feel to choose, which keeps the decision simple and won't suit a side sleeper who knows they need a soft surface.

5. Naturepedic EOS Classic Organic Vegan, the customisable and wool free one

  • 100 night trial
  • 25 year limited warranty
  • Five levels, Plush to Extra Firm
  • Who it is forA buyer who wants certified organic materials without wool or other animal products, or partners who want each side set differently.
  • Who it is not forAnyone for whom price comes first. Its Queen price at checking was the highest here.
  • Worth knowingThe Queen price shown, $3,679.20, was a sale price, so expect it to move.

Most organic mattresses use wool as their flame barrier. This EOS Classic variant uses none, which makes it the pick if you want certified organic materials without animal products. Fire protection comes from a plant based PLA batting, and the certifications on the brand's page include GOTS, GOLS, EWG Verified, MADE SAFE, PETA Approved Vegan, GREENGUARD Gold and UL Formaldehyde Free.

It's also the most adjustable mattress here. Five firmness levels, the option to set each side of the bed differently, and a modular build of a 3 inch organic latex comfort layer over an 8 inch encased coil layer, inside a zippered organic cotton encasement. Inside the 100 night trial, comfort layers can be exchanged free instead of returning the bed, under a 25 year limited warranty. The Queen price shown at checking, $3,679.20, was the highest here, and it was a sale price, so expect it to move.

Before you buy

Questions buyers ask

Is the PlushBeds trial 100 nights or 365 nights?

The return trial is 100 nights. That's the figure in the PlushBeds FAQ and product description. The 365 Night Comfort Guarantee is a separate offer for firmness adjustment, not the return trial. My PlushBeds trial and warranty guide sets out both in full.

What is the warranty on the Botanical Bliss?

It's a 25 year warranty, with full replacement in years 1 to 10 and prorated coverage in years 11 to 25.

Should I choose all latex or a latex hybrid?

All latex beds feel even and buoyant from edge to edge and they tend to be heavy. Hybrids feel a little more familiar if you're coming from a spring mattress, and the coils help air move through the bed. Here, the Botanical Bliss and the Zenhaven are all latex. The Avocado, Birch and Naturepedic are hybrids.

How long can I try each mattress at home?

Avocado gives 1 year, with returns after 30 days. Saatva Zenhaven and Birch Natural give 365 nights. PlushBeds gives a 100 night return trial, with its 365 Night Comfort Guarantee as a separate firmness adjustment offer. Naturepedic gives 100 nights, with free comfort layer exchanges inside that window.

Do returns cost anything?

The brands' own pages list a $99 return fee at Avocado, a $99 processing fee on returns at Saatva, and a $99 removal fee on returns at Birch. It's always worth checking the current return policy on the brand's own site before you buy, since terms can change.

Are these prices current?

They're the prices shown on each brand's own website on November 5, 2026. Prices move with sales, and the Naturepedic Queen price of $3,679.20 was a sale price at the time of checking. The price that counts is the one at the brand's checkout on the day you buy.

Does the commission decide the ranking?

PlushBeds publishes a 15 percent affiliate payout on its own partner page, the highest rate among the brands compared here, and that's one reason it's covered in depth on this site. It's not the reason it ranks first. It leads on materials, price per inch of certified organic latex and customisation, as set out in its card above.

The short version

Our top pick: PlushBeds Botanical Bliss

Latex from top to bottom and certified organic in both its latex and its textiles. The trial is 100 nights for returns, with the 365 Night Comfort Guarantee as a separate firmness adjustment offer, and the warranty is 25 years.
